African Liberation Day in Washington, D.C., May 22, 2010

Sisters and Brothers, Comrades, Family and Friends,

The All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (GC), with heartfelt salutations, solidarity, and support, requests the honor of you and your organizations’ presence at our annual African Liberation Day (ALD) activities on Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Washington, DC. Please forgive the lateness of this email.

This year’s ALD celebration/demonstration theme is “Build the A-APRP (GC): the Inheritor and Continuator of the Revolutionary Theory and Practice of Kwame Nkrumah, Sekou Toure, and Kwame Ture! “ The A-APRP (GC) is a small but struggling revolutionary Pan-Africanist party with the aspirations to organize the scattered and suffering African masses living and struggling in over 125 countries worldwide, under the banner of Pan-Africanism; correctly defined by Kwame Nkrumah as “the total liberation and unification of Africa under scientific socialism”.

Our ALD 2010 activities include a Pan-African and International Symposium on Saturday morning from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm at St. Stephens Episcopal Church located at 1525 Newton Street NW, Washington, D.C. As it is our tradition, our Symposium will consist of two panels featuring revolutionary and progressive parties, organizations, and movements representing struggling and oppressed Peoples across the globe.

The theme for Panel 1 is “The Irrefutable Ideological Convictions of those Faithful to the African and Worldwide Revolutions.” Invited participants for this Panel include: Parti de la Révolution Populaire Africaine de Guinée , African Solidarity for Democracy and Independence of Mali, the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front, the Movement for Socialism-Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples, the Afro-Venezuela Network and United Socialist Party of Venezuela, the Sandinista National Liberation Front, the Cuban Communist Party, the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front; and the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (GC).
The theme for Panel 2 is “We Must Build a Worldwide System of Revolutionary, Pan-African, and International Alliances.” Invited participants for this Panel include: American Indian Movement, the Irish Republican Socialist Movement, the Iraqi Resistance Movement, Black Left Unity, the Global African Congress, the Universal Negro Improvement Association, the National Association of Arab Americans, and the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party (GC).

Our rally will follow the Symposium from 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm at Malcolm X Park (Lower Level) located at 16th Street and Florida Ave, NW Washington, D.C. It will also feature political and cultural presentations from revolutionary and progressive parties, organizations, movements and groups also representing struggling and oppressed Peoples worldwide. We specifically request that your organization submit (electronically or hard copy) a brief Message of Solidarity with African Liberation Day and the African and World Revolution. Your organization’s presence and Message will be acknowledged, and Symposium and Rally participants will be encouraged to introduce themselves to your organizations representative(s). Please bring 1st Amendment protected literature that you wish to distribute, for free, at Malcolm X Park. Our permit does not allow vending or the collection of monies.
