NATO reports out of war torn Libya claiming control of certain areas is entirely under dispute contradicted by witness accounts on the ground.

Press TV talks with Abayomi Azikiwe, Editor Pan African News Wire and political analyst, from Detroit in order to discuss the lies coming from NATO supported sources to appease their followers and populations even to the extent of covering up atrocities related to civilian deaths.

Following is a transcript of the interview with Abayomi Azikiwe.

Press TV: With the new advancement by rebels, is this a psychological blow to Gaddafi's men and now are his days finally numbered?

Abayomi Azikiwe: Well, we're not sure. First we have to take into consideration that this is a propaganda war that is being waged by NATO and the US as well as the transitional national council forces and this has been going on now for several months.

They have been claiming for the past several days their control of Zlitan as well as Zawiyah. The government has denied these allegations. Your correspondent who is in Tripoli has reported there has been propaganda as well that there is clashes taking place inside the capital. We really need to get some concrete information on what's going on inside of Tripoli itself.

We know that over the past several days NATO has escalated its bombing attacks in the capital of Tripoli as well as the suburbs. And this has been the pattern over the last several months - they'll come into an area; they'll bomb; and of course the TNC forces will come in and claim that they have seized control of the city.

But all these areas in which they claim to be in control whether in Zlitan, Zawiyah or in Brega there has been fierce fighting against the rebel forces in these areas.

So we really have to take into consideration what the sources are of these reports that are coming out of Tripoli over the last two to three days.

Press TV: How would say NATO is supplying weapons to the opposition in Libya and how long will both NATO and the US allow the killing of these innocent men and women and children continue?

Abayomi Azikiwe: I think they're willing to do it as long as the political circumstances here in the West will allow them to do so. As we have remarked on repeatedly, they have been heavily involved in bombing areas where the government is in control; they've killed civilians.

Just last week in Majar they killed 85 people and then turned around and denied that these atrocities took place - claiming that these were military installations that were struck.
