DPRK's Army and People Pledge to Take Revenge on U.S., S. Korean Puppet Forces
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet forces have stepped up confrontation moves against the DPRK over its legitimate satellite launch and nuclear test. They are now staging Foal Eagle joint military exercises, kicking up war hysteria.
This has touched off the pent-up resentment of the service personnel and people of the DPRK and compelled them to harden their pledge to take thousand-fold retaliation against the enemies.
Korean People's Army Officer Ri Chol Hak told KCNA:
Foal Eagle is a drill for invading the DPRK and a drill for a nuclear war.
The war rehearsal started by the enemies despite the DPRK's repeated warnings is the height of their hostile acts against it and an open declaration of a war.
The powerful striking means of the DPRK including nuclear deterrence for justice are waiting for the order of launch while taking a good aim at the strongholds of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces and dens of anti-DPRK smear campaign.
The artillery firing drill conducted in the presence of Supreme Commander Marshal Kim Jong Un proved that KPA does not make an empty talk and the aggressors can never escape from its merciless strike.
Once there starts the exchange of fire, enemies will face only ruin and death and the DPRK will win a victory.
Pak Un Gyong, worker of the Phyongchon District Post Office, noted that even though they call the drills "defensive" and "annual" the enemies can never cover up the true picture of the unpardonable criminal act of bringing the danger of a nuclear war.
Ri Un Chol, student of Kim Chol Ju University of Education, said as follows:
The army and people of the DPRK grown under the care of peerlessly great men will counter the fire with fire and deal decisive and merciless blows at the aggressors.
No force on earth can bar the DPRK from advancing by sounding the nuclear-thunder of independence in the spirit of the great Paektusan nation.
If the enemies make a slightest sign of provocation, I will volunteer to the front again to show them what the arms of justice and retaliation will be like with the matchless grit and pluck shown by Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Jon Kwang Su, member of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards of Mangyongdae District, said as follows in an excited tone:
Our civilian defence forces have the striking capability for sweeping away the aggressors in the all-people war of resistance along with the invincible revolutionary Paektusan army.
The world will clearly see those who kindled the fire face the miserable fate of destruction and defenders of justice win final victory.
Once Marshal Kim Jong Un issues an order, we will mercilessly punish the enemies with the arms of Mt. Paektu and successfully accomplish the cause of national reunification.
U.S. Military Challenge to DPRK Will Be Met by Strong Counteraction: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- If the U.S. sticks to its hostile approach towards the DPRK to the last and leads the situation on the Korean Peninsula to a complicated phase, the DPRK will be left with no option but to take stronger countermeasures one after another.
Rodong Sinmun Monday warns this in a bylined article.
A touch-and-go situation is prevailing on the peninsula owing to the U.S. and its allies' vicious hostile actions against the DPRK over its satellite launch for peaceful purposes and the step for bolstering up its nuclear deterrent for defence of its sovereignty and due to their madcap war maneuvers.
Huge U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and latest nuclear offensive means have already been deployed in south Korea and its vicinity and large forces of the three services of the army in south Korea and its every ministry and agency have been put on a de facto wartime posture.
This goes to clearly prove that the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military drills may develop into a real war any time.
The U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are escalating the military confrontation with the DPRK. This fact once again proves how just the DPRK was when it had access to powerful nuclear deterrent for self-defence to cope with the hostile forces' increasing threat of aggression.
The DPRK's access to nuclear deterrent constitutes a great contribution not only to the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula but to the peace in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world. Had the DPRK failed to bolster up war deterrent in every way to cope with the evermore undisguised new war moves of the U.S., a nuclear war would have broken out on the peninsula more than ten times and humankind would have undergone the same nuclear disasters as those in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The DPRK's nuclear deterrent has been diversified and its performance has grown stronger than ever before. This serves as an iron fist for foiling the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces' military provocations and war moves against the DPRK.
It is the steadfast stand of the DPRK to decisively react to military pressure with an all-out action and a nuclear threat with nuclear deterrent for self-defence, concludes the article.
U.S. Can Never Overcome North: S. Korean Paper
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet paper Jaju Minbo carried an article written by poet Jong Sol Gyo under the title "The U.S. can never overcome the north" on Feb. 28.
The article said that the on-going Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises are aimed to reduce the north to ashes with the navy and air force.
The U.S., however, can never defeat the north in such way, it noted, and went on:
The lesson taught by the June 25 War (Korean War) proves it.
To provoke the north which has even the U.S. in its striking range will cause self-destruction.
It is little short of jumping into fire with faggot on one's back to try to start a war, risking ruin.
Int'l Organization's Official Condemns U.S. Hostile Policy toward DPRK
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Guy Dupre, secretary general of the International Liaison Committee for Reunification and Peace in Korea, issued a statement on Feb. 23 denouncing the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.
The statement said escalated tension on the Korean Peninsula is a product of the U.S. policy of pursuing confrontation with the DPRK.
It went on: The U.S. is intensifying its arbitrary actions to impose new "sanctions" on the DPRK through the U.N. Security Council, while taking issue with its satellite launch for peaceful purposes and nuclear test for defending its sovereignty.
There were more than 2 000 nuclear tests and over 9 000 satellite launches in the UN history, but never has there been such a UNSC's resolution that banned any country from conducting a nuclear test and launching satellite.
The UNSC's "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK was an expression of serious prejudice and double-standard policy which go quite contrary to the international organ's mission to respect the sovereignty of its member states and ensure the world peace and security.
The UNSC should condemn the U.S. for its military confrontation policy extremely escalating the tension by threat of a nuclear attack, not blaming the DPRK, which is using the outer space for peaceful purposes in line with its legitimate right as a sovereign state.
The peace-loving and progressive forces on the globe should conduct the solidarity movement for urging the U.S. to come out to negotiations to immediately defuse the tension on the Korean Peninsula mounting day by day due to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK, and sign a peace treaty with it.
DPRK's Nuclear Test, Step for Legitimate Self-Defence: Romanian Political Party
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The Socialist Party of Romania issued a statement on Feb. 19 in support of the DPRK's third underground nuclear test.
The statement said:
The Korean Peninsula is inching close to the touch-and-go situation.
The U.S. being engrossed in high-handed and arbitrary practices while styling itself the world's only super power is staging war drills against the DPRK under various codenames in the Korean Peninsula and in seas around it.
It got the UN Security Council to adopt a "resolution on sanctions" on the DPRK. This compelled the DPRK to take tougher countermeasure for self-defence.
The third underground nuclear test conducted by the DPRK was a step for defending itself.
The world progressives are deeply concerned about the tension on the Korean Peninsula escalating day by day and strongly demanding the U.S. abandon its hostile policy toward the DPRK and immediately withdraw its troops from south Korea.
The Supreme Council and all the members of the Socialist Party of Romania and followers of the Juche idea positively support the just struggle of the Korean people who declared a sacred war with the U.S., and will always fight in the anti-imperialist front shoulder to shoulder with them.
