South Korean Body Demands Halt
The Seoul Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration launched a campaign involving 10 000 people to stop the THAAD deployment and realize peaceful reunification, according to the south Korean online paper Thongil News.

A press conference took place at the Kwanghwamun Plaza on March 22. Speakers there accused the Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye regimes of blocking the dialogue and breaking mutual trust between the south and the north.

Noting the top priority task for eliminating evils is to repeal the "Security Law" strangling the pro-reunification movement organizations, they can never allow the US to deploy THAAD in south Korea as it is being opposed by all the people, they said.

They called for stopping the deployment of THAAD immediately, ifying the agreement on sexual slavery for the Japanese army, restoring the relations with the north, paving the way for NGO exchange, concluding a peace treaty, repealing the SL and retaking OPECON.
